Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman and Jack “Po the Panda” Black brought Hollywood to Cannes with feel-good movie for kids “Kung Fu Panda”, that premiered at the film festival Thursday.
Jolie, heavily pregnant with twins, stepped up the celebrated Cannes red carpet flanked by partner Brad Pitt — and a giant fake panda — in what she said were lower-than-usual heels with special Nike soles for the gala screening of the Panda movie.
The Brangelina appearance at the 12-day filmfest briefly swept Cannes’ more high-brow fare off centre-stage, this year showcasing a trend for highly-relevant political movies.
The latest offering by the fabled Dreamworks Animation team sees a clumsy flabby overweight panda voiced by Black and obsessed by martial arts catapulted from his job in a noodle restaurant to a role as a kung fu superhero. Read the rest of this entry.

Filmstar Angelina Jolie on Thursday said she was considering giving birth in France to her twins with partner Brad Pitt.
The 32-year-old actress, making no attempt to hide her large baby bump, was in Cannes for the release of animated children’s film “Kung Fu Panda”, also featuring the voices of Jack Black and Dustin Hoffman.
“They are twins,” said the actress, who was wearing a large gathered white dress.
Asked to comment on reports the birth was being planned in France, she said: “We haven’t completely decided but we are thinking of France.” Read the rest of this entry.
In an interview that took place in Cannes on Wednesday with the “Today” show’s Natalie Morales, airing Wednesday night on Access Hollywood and in full on Thursday on “Today,” Angelina confirmed the baby news that has been rumored for months.
The twins will be the couple’s 5th & 6th children.
Angelina confirmed the news in a side-by-side interview with Jack Black — they are promoting their new Dreamworks animated film, “Kung Fu Panda.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie take their two sons, Maddox, 6, and Pax, 4, for a boat trip around the South of France on Tuesday.
The Jolie-Pitts were on their way to board Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s yacht “Tatoosh”.
Angie, 32, is scheduled to walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this Thursday, May 15 for her new animated flick, Kung Fu Panda, and then on May 20 for Clint Eastwood’s Changeling.
It’s also been reported that Ms. Jolie will be adding twin girls to their growing brood in July.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt took their two adopted sons Maddox and Pax to a sonogram so they can see their new sisters for the first time. Jolie is rumored to be pregnant with twin girls and sources say the couple wants the boys to “meet” their sisters on Mother’s Day.
“Angelina was due for a scan and her and Brad thought it would be cool to do it on Mother’s Day and take Maddox and Pax along to see the twins for themselves on the sonogram machine,” says an insider. “Brad and Angelina are very big on explaining things in a very simple way to their kids and they want the kids to feel included in the process of her pregnancy.”

New parents-to-be Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spend a little alone time together on the balcony of Microsoft cofounder Paul Allen’s historic villa in France’s St Jean Cap Ferrat on Tuesday afternoon.
The two lovebirds gazed out over the unparalleled view of the Mediterranean from the Florentine-styled villa while enjoying the beautiful weather.
Their daughter Shiloh, who turns 2 later this month, was also seen on the balcony.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie take three of their four children, Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, and Zahara, 3, for a stroll on a very rocky beach near Bono’s home in the South of France on Sunday.
Accompanying the Jolie-Pitts on the beach was David Howell Evans, aka The Edge, who is the guitarist, keyboardist, and main backing vocalist for the Irish rock band U2. Brad was also seen helping Angie sit down for a rest by rocks with Zahara while Brad and The Edge took the rest of the kids to play by the water’s edge.
And look, Pax is wearing the “Space Invaders” InkyDinkTees t-shirt! It’s the same one Maddox wore last summer.
Earlier in the day, the Jolie-Pitts were seen enjoying breakfast on the terrace of their villa. Brad took off his shirt to work on his tan! Ohlala!
